working on Camaros, Mustangs, and Corvettes now... From Chrysler Corp, Daimler-Chrysler, Cerberus Capital, closure of many dealerships, Federal Government controlled, Chrysler LLC, Chrysler Group LLC, Fiat Chrysler Autos LLC,,,,,, those techs weren't ever sure who was controlling production OR if their jobs would soon end. Can't blame them for seeking employment elsewhere. working on Camaros, Mustangs, and Corvettes now... Can't blame them for seeking employment elsewhere. ...our local Viper and Prowler Techs left Chrysler and started their own garage...several Prowler owners have used their services Usually, if a dealer did not send techs for training, the dealership could not order that type car True..... In this case (Prowler),,,,not usually....the dealership had to pay for and send a tech to Prowler training before Chrysler would 'allocate' any Prowlers to those dealerships. OH,,,and did they ever do that! If you have to take your Prowler to a dealership for service work, pick one (Dodge) that has a Viper Tech. Many of those techs are still around, and usually were the 'best tech' in the service department sent to Viper training school. Who's around to teach them? If you're aware or a local qualified Prowler technician, please share the fellow's name and dealership with fellow owners. This would be a GREAT stand alone thread to establish somewhere on the site ... as reference by state and when needed! Good Idea Bob!tangled up in BLUE ...I got several of these many years ago...patch for the Prowler Tech to put on their shirts...ever see one ? Simonsez Surprisingly, yes I have one. Our local tech gave me one of his. It is no longer a Chrysler dealership. However, he still services my Prowler every year. CJ Yes, have a couple. Understandably, many small town dealerships would not, or could not afford to do that. Larger dealerships jumped on-board....probably knowing that a 'hot new model' like the Prowler would be a perfect setting to 'jack UP the MSRP' window sticker for added profit.
-----------------------------------------------------------padroo Not all dealers sold Prowlers and if they didn't sell them I'm guessing they wouldn't have a Prowler tech. ed monahan These patches will only go up in value, IF you keep them pristine and don't use them. (very similar to the cars). CJ Hopefully, Bob will join this discussion, since he was the one on Team Prowler who was in charge of the allocation! TooHipCat quote:

Not all dealerships wanted to pay for Prowler Tech training. RPL Sending a technician to Prowler training was an original requirement along with purchasing the Prowler special tools. Both had to be completed before a dealership was initially allocated a Prowler. The car has been out of production since February, 2002. There was no continuing training requirement. Most dealerships sent their best technician to this training. Many have moved on or retired themselves. StingRay quote:
